NorthStat’s innovations originate from an interdisciplinary research project at Umeå University, where expertise in Swedish ambulance services was combined with optimization, programming, and statistical modeling.
The original research project aimed to use data-driven simulations and optimizations to improve the scheduling, placement, and dispatch of resources. The goal was a more efficient ambulance service that saves lives, reduces costs, and shortens care times.
We quickly realized that our data-driven solutions could benefit far more than ambulance services. Our products can transform data into valuable insights and decision support across a wide range of industries.

Patrik is a professor of mathematical statistics at Umeå University. He has extensive experience leading interdisciplinary projects that transform big data into insights and optimal decisions.
Hugo holds a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering and Management with a specialization in Data Science from Umeå University. He has expertise in both machine learning and full-stack development.
Jonas holds a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering and Management with a specialization in Data Science from Umeå University. He has several years of experience working closely with customers, understanding their challenges, and translating them into technical solutions.
Evangelina holds a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering and Management with a specialization in Data Science from Umeå University. She has broad experience implementing data-driven solutions in large, complex organizations.
